On October 23, 2014, members of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team executed a search warrant at the residence of Phillipi Demond Gorham located at 2410 W 5th St. in Washington. The Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit, Criminal Investigations Division, Patrol Division along with Investigators with Alcohol Lawn Enforcement assisted in the operation. The Sheriff’s Office had received several complaints siting alcohol and drug sales occurring in a shot house located behind the residence. The Sheriff’s Office is also in the process of investigating a stabbing that occurred at this location. The Drug Unit along with Alcohol Lawn Enforcement began investigating the activity at the residence. Investigators conducted several days of surveillance and controlled purchases of alcohol and cocaine gathering enough evidence for a search warrant.
As a result of the search warrant execution Investigators seized 11 grams of cocaine, 40 grams of marijuana, a .44 caliber revolver, two bullet proof vests and drug packaging material between the residence and the shot house. Phillipi Gorham was wearing one of the bullet proof vests and was in possession of the .44 caliber revolver when Investigators made entry. Investigators arrested Phillipi Gorham, age 37, of 2410 W 5th St. in Washington, Patricia Ann Langley, age 51, of 70 Peele Lane in Washington, Enique Charisse Jones, age 36, of 2910 Cedar Creek Apt. 3 in Greenville and Jacqueline Nadine Suber, age 46, of 92 Trails End North in Washington.
Phillipi Gorham was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm by Felon and Maintaining a Dwelling to Facilitate Drug Activity. Gorham was also charged with several Alcohol sale violations issued by Alcohol Law Enforcement. Gorham was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $120,000 secured bond.
Patricia Langley was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Langley was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond. Jacqueline Suber and Enique Jones were both charged with Possession of Less than ½ Ounce of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jones and Suber were confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under $750.00 secured bonds.
