On December 17, 2014, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire on Sidney Road in Belhaven, NC. Sidney Volunteer Fire Department along with Belhaven Volunteer Fire Department responded and began to extinguish the fire. While on scene, firefighters located a deceased male in the residence and called the Sheriff’s Office.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation and requested the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation to process the scene.
The victim is identified as George Elliot, II, age 29, of Sidney Road. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
