On December 22, 2014, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Sex Offense that occurred in a wooded area off of Hwy 306 in Aurora. Investigators collected evidence and started an investigation.
As a result, Investigator Christina Dixon applied for and obtained a warrant charging Martin David Brinson, age 25, of Marys Chapel Church Rd in Aurora, with one count of Second Degree Rape and one count of Second Degree Sexual Offense.
On January 22, 2015, Mr. Brinson turned himself in and was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond set by Magistrate Jasper Mills. Mr. Brinson is a registered sex offender and was on probation that included an electronic monitoring device at the time the crime was committed.
