On 2-19-2015, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Johnny De-Angelo Smith, 37 years of age, of 158 Short Drive in Chocowinity. Smith was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Maintaining a Vehicle to Keep/Store a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Carrying a Concealed Gun.
Smith’s arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting a traffic stop on Smith and smelling an odor of marijuana. Investigators conducted a search of Smith’s vehicle and found marijuana, powder cocaine, crack cocaine and a concealed 9mm pistol.
Smith was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000.00 secured bond.
