On 3-20-2015, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit and Alcohol Law Enforcement Division executed a search warrant on Rodney Lamont Albritton’s residence located at 105 Anderson Place in Washington.
Investigators and K-9 Elza conducted a search of the residence and found 1738 grams (3.8 pounds) of high grade marijuana, 16 grams of cocaine, digital scales, drug packaging materials and $25,035.00 in US Currency. The estimated street value of the marijuana and cocaine is $36,360.00.
Albritton was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana within 1000 feet of a Child Care Facility, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine within 1000 feet of a Child Care Facility, Maintaining a Dwelling to Store/Keep a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Albritton was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $50,000.00 secured bond.
Sheriff Coleman stated, “The drugs that were seized today were
going to be used to poison the people of Beaufort County, I am glad they are off of our streets. I can only imagine the amount of narcotics and gang violence that would infiltrate our county if we did not have the deterrence of a strong Drug Unit that is as devoted and is as highly trained as the one we have here at the Sheriff’s Office.”
