On 5-14-2015, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Bernard Lyle Grant, 51 years of age, of 9488 Hwy. 99 South in Bath. Grant was charged with Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Grants arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting a vehicle stop on Grant. K-9 Elza alerted on the vehicle during the traffic stop. Investigators conducted a search and found heroin and used syringes. North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene and charged Grant with Driving While Impaired.
Grant was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,500.00 secured bond.
