On May 12, 2015, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a Fraud at a residence on Bonner Circle. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation by interviewing the victim and collecting evidence.
As a result of information and evidence gathered during the investigation, Investigator Jason Hill applied for and obtained warrants charging Ms. Crystal Monique Smith, age 28, of Turkey Trot #1 Road, Washington with four counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses and four counts of Identity Theft.
On July 15, 2015, Ms. Smith was arrested by the Washington Police Department and was released on a $10,000.00 unsecured bond set by Magistrate Donald Sadler.
