Search warrant leads to drug seizure and two charged

On 7-12-2016, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Jimmy Lewis, 26 years of age, of 408 E. 6^th Street in Washington and Jimmy Lanier, 65 years of age, of 408 E. 6^th Street in Washington.  They both were charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Their arrest stemmed from Investigators receiving complaints and making purchases of marijuana from the residence.  Investigators executed Search Warrant on the residence and found marijuana, digital scales, and plastic bags used to package marijuana.

Lewis and Lanier were confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $15,000.00 secured bond.
