On 04/21/2018 at about 3:40 am Beaufort County Deputy Tim Tetterton was on routine patrol when he spotted a suspicious vehicle parked on Swan Point Road near Riverbend Apartments in Washington. Tetterton noticed the unoccupied vehicle was still warm to the touch. He patrolled the area and upon locating no one, he set up surveillance. Less than 30 minutes later Tetterton spotted the vehicle traveling West on River Road and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, standing next to the vehicle, he noticed a gun on the ground near his feet. Inside the vehicle Deputies located a bag containing two stolen laptops. Both the laptops and gun were traced back to residents of Riverbend Apartments. The vehicles four occupants, Marquis Davaughn Ward, age 29, Olamide Moses Wilson, age 18, Isaiah Sherod Moore, age 21 and Tyricka A. Riddick, age18 were arrested and charged with 2 counts of B & E of a Motor Vehicle, 1 count of Larceny After B & E, 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Goods, and 1 count of

Larceny of a Firearm. Each was held on secured bonds ranging from $50,000.00 to $125,000.00.

Based on information and evidence from Tetterton’s traffic stop, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Investigators were able to link Ward and Wilson to a recent motor vehicle break-ins in the Rosedale Subdivision during which 2 guns were stolen. Using that evidence and information, Beaufort County Deputies and Washington Police Officers served simultaneous search warrants on residences on Van Norden Street and Grimes Road in Washington. Those search warrants yielded 2 more stolen guns and the arrests of Michael Anthray Davis, age 30, Jolissa Danielle Moore, age 29, and Conrad Demond Midgette, age 43.

Davis and Moore were charged with 1 count each of Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession With Intent to Sell/ Deliver Marijuana. Additionally Davis was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Midgette was charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. The three received secured bonds ranging from $15,000.00 to $250,000.00.

Both Ward and Wilson are likely facing more felony charges based on evidence found from the two search warrants.
