On May 14, 2018 at about 9:30 am, John Curtis Jenkins Jr. turned himself in to the Beaufort County Magistrate’s Office, where he was served with warrants from Beaufort County for Assault by Strangulation and 2nd Degree Kidnapping. Jenkins was also served with an Order for Arrest from Pitt County for violating his conditions of release in a previous assault case.
Jenkins was taken before a Beaufort County District Court Judge where he was ordered held on a $450,000.00 secured bond for charges in Beaufort County. His bond for the violation in Pitt County was set at $50.000.00 secured.
