On 2/25/2020, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Lawrence Tetterton, 33 years of age, of 20685 Hwy. 33 east in Aurora and Precious Barnes, 28 years of age, of 299 Middle Road in Aurora.
They were charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine within 1000 feet of Chocowinity Middle School, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin within 1000 feet of Chocowinity Middle School, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana within 1000 feet of Chocowinity Middle School and Maintaining a Dwelling for the purpose of Selling and Keeping a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Their arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting a Search Warrant on a hotel room located at the Baymont Hotel in Chocowinity. The Baymont Hotel is located beside Chocowinity Middle School. Investigators and K-9 Bodi conducted a search and found Cocaine, Heroin and Marijuana packaged for resale.
They were confined in the Beaufort County Detention center under a $40,000.00 secured bond.
