2 suspects convicted of robbery at Frank and Shirley’s Restaurant

On September 27th 2023, Justin Paul, age 30 of Shallotte NC and Gerald Don Adams Jr, age 51 of Washington NC were convicted and sentenced for the robbery that occurred at Frank and Shirley’s Restaurant in Aurora NC in the early morning hours of October 24th, 2022.

Justin Paul was convicted of Felony Assault With a Deadly Weapon Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Felony Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle. Justin Paul was sentenced to 127 – 165 months in the Division of Adult Corrections.

Gerald Don Adams Jr. was convicted of Felony Assault With a Deadly Weapon Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Felony Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle. Gerald Don Adams Jr. was sentenced to 110 – 144 months in the Division of Adult Corrections.

Thanks to the hard work of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations, along with the District Attorney’s Office, these men were quickly brought to justice and held accountable.
