On December 28, 2023, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kaleb Jones-Taylor on multiple drug charges. This arrest concluded a two-month long investigation into Kaleb Jones-Taylor selling fentanyl in the Washington area. As a result of this investigation, Deputies seized 136 fentanyl pills.
Kaleb Jones-Taylor was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond under the following charges:
-(2) counts of Trafficking in Fentanyl
-(2) counts of PWISD Schedule II (Fentanyl)
-(1) count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
During this past year, Deputies have made over (50) fentanyl related arrests and seized more than 247 grams of powder fentanyl and 570 fentanyl pills off the streets of Beaufort County. The majority of the 570 fentanyl pills that Deputies have seized share a common appearance. These dangerous pills are typically blue or green in color and have the imprint (M 30) stamped on them. Even though these pills appear to be a legitimate prescription medication, they contain lethal fentanyl.
