On 6-25-2015, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Lavar Dewen Mitchell, 38 years of age, of 649 Pine Street in Belhaven. Mitchell was charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine and three counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Mitchell’s arrest stemmed from Investigators purchasing cocaine from Mitchell and executing a Search Warrant on Mitchell’s residence. Investigators searched Mitchell’s residence and found digital scales, packaging material used to package cocaine and US currency that the Investigators used to purchase cocaine from Mitchell.
Mitchell was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $15,000.00 secured bond.
