This week Beaufort County needs your help finding those responsible for stealing fuel from a business. On August 18th the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to Rutledge Mini Storage in Washington. Upon reviewing the security footage from the business, deputies discovered on August 16th at 10:15 pm suspects pulled up in a late model Jeep Wrangler and drained fuel from two U-Haul trucks parked at the business. Approximately 50 gallons of fuel was taken. The suspects had punctured holes in the bottom of the fuel tanks to retrieve the fuel. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case, and as always, we only want your information not your name.
