This week Beaufort County Crime Stoppers would like to make citizens aware of multiple break-ins in the Washington area. Over the last couple of weeks, Washington Police and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office have responded to homes that have had items taken such as jewelry, game consoles, money, and firearms. Some homes were left unlocked making for an easy target. It is important to remember to keep your home and vehicle locked to add an extra measure of security against these thieves. The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is stepping up neighborhood patrols to help combat these problems. We ask you to report anything that is suspicious to your local law enforcement agency.
