On 02-12-2019, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested James Earl Moore, 51 years of age, of 273 Franklin Avenue in Mount Vernon New York and Kenyaan Marks 39 years of age, of 501 Old Country Road in Elmsford New York.
Moore was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Maintaining a Vehicle for the Purpose of Storing and Selling a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Marks was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
There arrest stemmed from Investigators receiving complaints about Moore bringing drugs from New York into Beaufort County. Investigators made contact with Law Enforcement in New York after learning Moore was living in New York. Investigators advised New York Law Enforcement about the complaints.
Investigators monitored Moore and learned that Moore was enroute from New York to Beaufort County. Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Moore on Hwy. 17 North in Washington.
Investigators conducted a search and found 10 pounds of marijuana, 5 grams of cocaine and a digital scale. The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately $40,000.00
Moore and Marks were both confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $250,000.00 secured bond.
