On 7/31/2019, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Tysaun Thigpen, 27 years of age, of 806 W. 5th Street in Washington and Tyrone Rhome, 47 years of age, of 806 W. 5th Street in Washington.
Thigpen was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine within 1000 feet of Light of the World Child Care Center, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana within 1000 feet of Light of the World Child Care Center and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Rhome was charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Their arrest stemmed from Investigators receiving information that Thigpen was staying at a residence located at 806 W. 5th Street with Rhome and using the residence to manufacture and distribute crack cocaine and marijuana from. Investigators executed a Search Warrant on the residence and found approximately 6.8 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 14 grams of marijuana, plastic bags used to repackage a controlled substance, digital scales and $2,230.00 in US Currency.
Thigpen was confined in the Beaufort County Detention under a $40,000.00 secured bond. Rhome was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000.00 secured bond.
