On 8/02/2019, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit were conducting surveillance in known drug areas in Washington when they spotted Reginald Wilkinson, 30 years of age, of 374 Keysville Road in Washington driving a silver Toyota Avalon registered to Uniququae Arthur, 26 years of age, of 5505 Fleta Street in Washington. Arthur was riding in the passenger seat.
Investigators have received complaints about Wilkinson selling drugs. Investigators followed Wilkinson and witnessed Wilkinson conduct a drug transaction. Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Wilkinson and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Investigators conducted a search and found approximately 10 grams of cocaine hidden in Arthur’s pants. Three (3) Ecstasy pills, two (2) oxycodone pills and a digital scale was found in the center console area. A plastic bag containing marijuana was found in Wilkinson’s pocket. Investigators found clothing and gear that belonged to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Investigators learned that Arthur was a Corrections Officer at Eastern Corrections in Maury and notified her supervisor.
Wilkinson was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Ecstasy a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Possession of Oxycodone a Schedule III Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Wilkinson’s was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $20,000.00 secured bond.
Arthur was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Ecstasy a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Arthur was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000.00 secured bond.
