On July 29, 2015, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a Fraud complaint that occurred at a business located on US 17 Hwy South in Chocowinity. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation by interviewing the owner and collecting evidence.
As a result of information and evidence gathered during the investigations, Investigator Jason Hill applied for and obtained warrants charging Mr. Charles Onvert Pierce, Jr, age 35, of Carrow Rd. with one count of Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
On August 4, 2015, Mr. Pierce was arrested by Deputies with the Patrol Division and held in the Beaufort County Detention Center on a $1,500.00 secured bond set by Magistrate Jasper Mills.
