On 3-8-2015, at approximately 1700 hours, Patrol Deputies and Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit responded to 167 Bradley Lane in Washington in reference to Bradley Keith Thompson’s girlfriend finding suspicious items. Thompson’s girlfriend believed the suspicious items were meth related.
Investigators confirmed the found items were tools and toxic chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine. Investigators learned that Thompson was serving weekends in the Beaufort County Detention Center and was scheduled to be released at 1900 hours.
Investigators responded to the Beaufort County Detention Center and questioned Thompson. Thompson admitted to manufacturing meth on Friday before reporting to the Beaufort County Detention Center to serve weekends.
Clandestine Lab Agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations responded to the scene. Clandestine Lab Agents collected evidence and removed toxic materials that are commonly used in the One Pot Method (Shake and Bake) of Manufacturing Methamphetamines.
Thompson was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Thompson was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under no bond.
