The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit investigates all controlled substance crimes and prostitution throughout Beaufort County. The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit works closely with federal, state and local agencies in our jurisdiction enforcing controlled substance laws and educating the public on current drug trends and drug recognition, to suppress the use, manufacturing and distribution of controlled substances in Beaufort County.

The Special Operations Unit works closely with federal, state, and local agencies including Fire Departments, Rescue, and EMS to assist in investigations that are High-Risk and Search and Rescue Missions. The Special Operations Unit utilizes the Sheriff’s Response Team (SRT) and a Drone Team to complete High-Risk situations and search and rescue missions in the most timely and safest manner.
